• ✔️ Equip students with skills to deal effectively with their environment.
• ✔️ Provide a classroom/college atmosphere for students to express their feelings safely.
• ✔️ Encourage constructive expression and identification of role models.
• ✔️ Train students in emotional self-control.
• ✔️ Provide opportunities to take part in department and college activities.
• ✔️ Organize camps, picnics, excursions, and tours to foster better understanding.
• ✔️ Conduct orientation programs for new students and training for staff/student counselors.
• ✔️ Provide counseling sessions through staff/student/external experts.

Committee Roles & Responsibilities

• ✔️ Guide and support staff and student counselors for effective counseling.
• ✔️ Monitor the student's academic progress and behavior through the Mentor-Mentee system.
• ✔️ Identify programs to create a positive teaching and learning environment.
• ✔️ Counsel students about adolescent issues twice a month in tutorial groups.
• ✔️ Address urgent matters relating to students' concerns immediately.
• ✔️ Implement follow-up procedures suggested by the Counseling Committee with HoDs and Principal's approval.

Mentoring

• ✔️ Counsel students on academic, career, and personal issues regularly.
• ✔️ Provide guidance for program completion, prerequisites, and necessary skills.
• ✔️ Maintain counseling registers and records.
• ✔️ Discuss academic issues with parents/guardians when necessary.
• ✔️ Introduce a fair and consistent grievance redressal mechanism.
• ✔️ Maintain confidentiality and a responsive attitude to grievances.
