About ECE Department

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) at MAM Women's Engineering College was established in 2008 with an initial intake of 90 students. Recognizing the growing demand for Electronics and Communication Engineers, the intake was enhanced to 180 students in the academic year 2012.

The department is dedicated to providing high-quality education and fostering research culture among students. Students are actively encouraged to participate in research-oriented activities and develop innovative academic projects in advanced fields such as Embedded Systems, VLSI Design, Image Processing, IoT (Internet of Things), Wireless Communication, and Signal Processing.

The ECE Department has four well-established, spacious laboratories fully equipped as per the latest JNTUK syllabus requirements. Additionally, it has an exclusive computer lab with 45 high-configuration systems, offering seamless internet access for students to enhance their learning experience. Specialized software packages like PSPICE, MATLAB, VHDL, MULTISIM, MODELSIM, and KEIL are available to support project development and simulations.

The department proudly boasts a team of highly qualified and experienced senior faculty members specializing in VLSI, Image Processing, Embedded Systems, Wireless Communications, IoT Technologies, and 5G Communications. Faculty members are actively associated with reputed professional societies like IETE and ISTE, and continuously upgrade their knowledge through Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), Workshops, Certifications, and Research Collaborations.

With a strong focus on academic excellence, practical exposure, and innovation, the ECE Department aims to become a Centre of Excellence, empowering students to meet the evolving challenges of the electronics and communication industry and emerge as successful professionals and researchers.
