Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Govt. of India, has established the MHRD's Innovation Cell (MIC) to systematically foster the culture of innovation amongst all Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). MIC has envisioned the creation of Institution's Innovation Councils (IICs) to promote innovation through multiple activities leading to the creation of a vibrant innovation ecosystem.

MAM Women’s Engineering College has established its Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) as per the guidelines of MoE’s Innovation Cell (MIC) in the year 2023. This initiative aims to create a vibrant local innovation ecosystem, support start-ups, and develop better cognitive abilities in technology students.
"To provide a platform for the innovative ideas of students and faculty that contribute to corporate social responsibility, fostering start-ups and an entrepreneurial culture in campus, thereby contributing to the growth of the national economy."
"To develop management with the required infrastructure that enables students and faculty to think innovatively, design new ideas, and develop prototypes aligned with IPR standards with the support of Start-up Ecosystem Enablers."
MAMW is actively involved in organizing and conducting seminars, workshops, field trips, project exhibitions, and collaborations with industries. Through IIC, MAMW is creating a robust innovation ecosystem, mentoring students, and helping them develop the aptitude for entrepreneurship, innovation, and life skills.
