Allotment of Seats

• ✔️ Category A Seats: 70% of sanctioned intake, filled based on APEAPCET merit ranks, following the Rule of Reservation.
• ✔️ Category B Seats: 30% of total intake, open for eligible candidates from all States, NRIs, and NRI-sponsored candidates, filled on a merit basis.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission

• ✔️ Indian Nationals, PIOs, or OCI Card Holders.
• ✔️ Candidates must have completed 16 years of age.
• ✔️ Must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, and one of Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology with at least 45% (40% for reserved categories).
• ✔️ Must satisfy local/non-local status requirements for Category A admissions.
• ✔️ Should meet eligibility conditions for Category B admissions as per regulations.

Method of Admission

Category A Seats: Filled by the institution based on candidates allotted by the Convener of APEAPCET admissions.
Category B Seats: Filled by the institution/AP Government on a merit basis, including NRIs and other state candidates.

Procedure for Admissions

Filling Category A Seats (70%)

Admissions through centralized or decentralized Single Window Counselling system under the guidance of AP State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) and EAMCET Admission Committee, based on APEAPCET ranks.

• ✔️ Notification and schedule published in newspapers (Telugu, English, Urdu).
• ✔️ Counseling based on merit and reservation policies.
• ✔️ Online seat allotment system through EAMCET Admissions Portal.
• ✔️ Internal sliding permitted before spot admissions for vacant seats.
• ✔️ Institutions must obtain ratification from competent authorities for all admissions.

Filling Category B Seats (30%)

Admissions conducted by the institution following merit-based guidelines for NRIs, other state candidates, and merit-based local candidates after Category A admissions conclude.

• ✔️ Notification of available courses published in newspapers and on the college website.
• ✔️ Merit list preparation and transparent selection based on qualifying examination marks.
• ✔️ Adherence to rules and ratification from Competent Authority mandatory.
• ✔️ Tuition fee collection as per AFRC guidelines.

Rules of Reservation

• ✔️ 85% of seats reserved for local candidates; 15% unreserved.
• ✔️ SC: 15%, ST: 6%, BC: 29% (Group A-E wise allocation).
• ✔️ Women Candidates: 33.33% reservation in each category.
• ✔️ Special Categories Horizontal Reservation:
  • ➔ Physically Handicapped (PH) – 3%
  • ➔ Children of Armed Forces Personnel (CAP) – 2%
  • ➔ National Cadet Corps (NCC) – 1%
  • ➔ Sports and Games (SP) – 0.5%

Important Note

All candidates must fulfill the admission requirements prescribed by the Andhra Pradesh Government and JNTUK University. Mere qualification in entrance examinations does not guarantee admission unless the candidate meets all eligibility norms. Spot admissions and internal sliding processes must also adhere to official guidelines and require ratification.
